LG reveals Optimus 3D Cube Android with 3D image and video editing
Touted as the world’s first smartphone with a 3D video editor, the Optimus 3D Cube is a small upgrade to the existing Optimus 3D
Apparently LG just can’t wait for Mobile World Congress to show off their new products. And it might not be a bad strategy, considering that it’s making the news separate from the thousands of launches at MWC. After taking the wraps off the Optimus Vu and the Optimus L series, the company has now unveiled the successor to the current Optimus 3D P920, the Optimus 3D Cube.
Packaged in a slim 9.6mm body, the new Optimus 3D Cube features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 3D screen, 16GB of internal memory and dual 5-megapixel cameras on the back to click photographs and shoot videos in 3D.
On the software front, there’s Google Andrdoid v2.3 Gingerbread baked in, although you can expect it to get upgraded to Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich soon enough. The device also comes with a custom 3D image and video editor, allowing you to tinker with your three-dimensional photos and clips with ease on your smartphone itself.
Of course, there’s no word yet on international pricing or availability, but hopefully we should hear more about that at MWC.
