Expected to hit Indian retail shelves for around Rs. 17,000 in April, the latest Android smartphone from the Sony stable is quite a looker, borrowing the style of the flagship Xperia S!

Formerly known by its codename ‘Kumquat, the Sony Xperia U ST25i has now finally strutted its stuff for the camera in a series of leaked images obtained by Chinese blog ePrice. The Xperia U is essentially a miniature version of Sony’s flagship handset, the Xperia S.

It is expected to feature a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 5-megapixel camera. A stylish phone, it borrows the ‘Iconic Identity’ design principle of the Xperia S.

A previous leak suggests that the Sony Xperia U will be coming to India in April for a price of Rs. 16,990 (approximately $353 or 262 euros).
