HTC One M9 is one of the notable smartphones from 2015. The phone was announced in March 2015. Commercially not a big hit, but there are collectively a good number of users for the device. Sprint has now rolled out an Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC One M9.

After two whole years of the phone release, here comes the big update for the users. If you are using Sprint carrier in the device, you should be glad. This update of Android 7.1.1 Nougat is an over the air update.

Android 7.0 Nougat: HTC One M9 gets Android 7.1.1 Update

Android 7.0 Nougat is the current trending OS version. Most of the devices use Android 7.0 Nougat, and few others use more advanced versions. It is to note that Nokia 6 had an update release recently. It updated the device from Android 7.0 Nougat to Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The new update comes in size 1.02 GB and comes with the version number 4.27.651.4.

HTC One M9:

HTC One exists since 2015, and so, there are chances that this is the last big update for the device. When the device upgrades to Android 7.0 Nougat, there are noticeable changes in the phone’s features. It has system performance enhancements involved in the update. The new update also comes up with the February Security patch for the device.

Sprint customers will get a notification for the available update. Once the update shows up in the device, you can download it. The download size is quite high. The users are advised to have full battery back-up. It is better if the device is plugged in while the update happens. Over the air, updates do not hit all the users at the same time. It may take a while.

Previously HTC One M9 ran on Android v5.0 (Lollipop). It had a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 coupled with 3 GB RAM. It has a 5 inches screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The primary camera is of 20 MP. The internal memory is 32 GB and is extendable up to 256 GB. The device is fueled by a Non-removable Li-Po 2840 mAh battery.
