BSNL feature phone: State-owned telecom operator BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd) is looking to partner with the domestic mobile brands like Lava and Micromax. The BSNL is planning to unveil the co-branded feature of the phone around Rs 2000.
BSNL tie-up with Micromax and Lava to unveil a BSNL feature phone at Rs 2,000:
This rumour features mobile phone will come with the attractive bundled with the tariff plans. This feature phone is unveiled happen in October.
BSNL chairman Statement:
The BSNL Company director Anupam Shrivastava said to reporters, “Our strategy is away from the procurement. We all are trying to come up with our bundled mobile phone equipment in a month time. Users will see the co-branded feature phone with the different manufacturers will come”.
BSNL feature phone:
Speaking about the collaboration of the BSNL feature phone makers Anupam Shrivastava said: “We are tying up with the device manufactures companies like Micromax and Lava. Its to come up with the own model of the co-branded feature phone with very aggressive voice packages”.
He also said, now the cost of the feature phone is to be confirmed. The phone would be close to Rs 2,000 as per the executive. This feature phone also offers the free voice calls.
The BSNL is having a real time in the Indian telecom market. The other top private operators like Vodafone India, Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel are struggling to tackle the newcomer Reliance Jio. BSNL is going to neck-to-neck with the Reliance Jio with its attractive tariff plans.

The deal should be equally important to the mobile phone makers such as Lava and Micromax. Their market share has gone down the drastically in the recent times.
Jio 4G VoLTE feature phone:
Now BSNL is considering this move to counter the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio. There was recently unveiled the low-cost 4G VoLTE feature phone. The BSNL feature phone will not be a 4G supported one because the telecom operator is now offering the 4G services in the Indian market.
Airtel 4G VoLTE smartphone:
The leading telecom operator Airtel is also considering the same move of partnering with the mobile manufactures. It’s unveiling the co-branded low-cost 4G VoLTE smartphone with the luring and attractive tariff plans.
Bharti Airtel is rumoured to unveil the 4G VoLTE smartphone by this Diwali. The BSNL is claimed to announce its co-branded feature phone in this October.
