A new Matte red colour Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180 has introduced by the TVS Motor company. Then the standard version of the motorcycles, the matted red series of Apache RTR has slightly more expensive.

Now, Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180 introduced in red colour

The RTR 160 with the rear disc has available at Rs 80,194 while the Apache RTR 160 has priced at Rs 77,865. The RTR 180, its elder sibling has offered at the cost of Rs 81, 833. There have no mechanical changes apart from the colour.

By a 159.7 cc single cylinder engine, the RTR 160 has powered that produces 15.2 hp of power and 13.1 Nm of torque. With a 179.cc single cylinder engine, the RTR 180 unit comes that churns out 17 hp of power and 15.5 Nm of torque. There has a 5-speed transmission for both motorcycles.

The company witnessed an increase of 16 percent in total sales in September 2017. Last month, the manufacturer sold 317,563 units against 274,303 units in August 2016. In August 2017, the total two-wheeler domestic sales grew by 15.5 percent wherein the company sold 309, 146 units as compared to 267, 670 units in August 2016.

TVS Motor planning to introduce Apache RR310S this year:

In the festive season, to increase its sales, the company has launched its products with a new paint scheme and minor updates. Earlier, with disc brakes and new dual tone styled TVS StaR City+, this month the manufacturer had launched Victor premium edition.

TVS Motor is planning to introduce the much awaited fully faired motorcycle Apache RR310S, also, this year. As the Akula 310, the vehicle has first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and has some unique features like carbon fibre body panels and rear seat-mounted camera slot.

Anyhow, these features won’t make it to the production model, that has expected to have launched towards the end of the year.

For suspension, at the front, the bikes feature a telescopic fork, and twin inverted gas filled MIG shock absorbs at the rear. Also, at the front, the two motorcycles employ a 270 mm petal disc and 200 mm petal disc at the rear.
