Apple iPhone 8 gets delayed due to 3D sensor technology issue: If you are waiting for the release of Apple iPhone 8, you should know that the wait is quite longer than you thought it would be. There are chances that the device gets showcased in September, but shipping could be late.
Apple released it in this year to mark its tenth anniversary and it is the upgrade. Manufacturers are planning to make it available to the users with a bezel-less OLED display, wireless charging, improved waterproofing, and more options.
Mac Rumors reports that the iPhone 8 which was supposed to be released in September and reach the pre-ordered customers a few weeks from that. But now, the delay could take a few weeks because there is a problem with the 3D sensing feature of the phone. The 3D sensing feature of the iPhone 8 which is in the front camera will allow the users to unlock the handset by performing a face sensor. But now, there are issues discovered in this, and eventually, the work on the feature is going to take a while. However, Apple is scheduling the release before the Christmas season this year.
Three devices from Apple were said to be released before the end of 2017 – A 4.5 inch, a 5.5 inch and a 5.8 inch iPhone 8. Among these, great iPhone 8 will have the OLED display, and there is also some problem with the production of the OLED display which could account the said delay.
This release of iPhone 8 is a most important try of Apple after a previous couple of flagship phones were reported to lack many differences. The iPads, Mac laptops, and Desktops are not often replaced. The new updates are not efficient enough for the users to change their available devices. Considering the cost of the devices, customers significant upgrade which would force them to buy one. But as known, the available Apple devices are too good on their own and aren’t replaced. Thus, the sale of iPad fell by 19 percent last quarter. There is a talk that the owners of iPhone 6 haven’t missed much with the iPhone 7. The iPhone 8 must be a monster to win the crown back, and this delay may be for true perfection.
A report from Apple Analyst Brian to CNBC says, “Our contact firmly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3D sensing technology, but still in time for the December holidays. This is not the first time that we’ve heard about a potential delay with a new iPhone; however, our contact was so emphatic about the delay that we are taking this data point more seriously. Since it is only April, this situation could improve. Fundamentally, our contact believes customers will be able to pre-order the new 5.8-inch iPhone 8 along with the new 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones in September; however, the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will not be available for delivery until several weeks later.”
Not to forget that the firm rival to the US giant, the South Korean monster is launching its Samsung Galaxy S8 this year and it has its set of customers who are waiting for the release. It aims in stealing the customers of Apple. Now, some customers are toggling between iPhone 8 or Samsung 8. We should play slow to know who wins the game.
