A hint of Big Navi? AMD’s head of marketing pledges something interesting tomorrow

AMD Chief Game Architect and Marketer Frank Azor tweeted a cryptic message. It says something might happen on September 10th. Even though the tweet is quite long (it contains the lyrics to Tomorrow by Annie), it does not provide any meaningful information about the subject of the announcement.

The song is pretty positive and promises that the sun will rise tomorrow. We can expect to hear another hint of Big Navi or something Zen 3 related. This could come in the form of an AMD Battle Arena map update in Fortnite. More recently, an AMD-sponsored streamer discovered that the card contains hints related to the Big Navi graphics card.

The Easter egg required several steps, such as entering the password 6000, to see the message “There’s something big in AMD Battle Arena!” This post more or less confirmed that the next generation Navi will be the RX 6000 series. Later, Frank Azor tweeted that there may be something lurking in the game that hadn’t been discovered before. So far, no one has been able to find more information about Big Navi.

However, do not expect too much tomorrow. AMD has not yet informed its partners about the possible presence of a new graphics card. As the VideoCardz journalists heard just yesterday, discussions are still underway within the company about the time of the announcement. Big Navi is still kept secret, even from partners.

Frank Azor’s post was retweeted by Sasa Marinkovic, Director of Games at AMD. This could indicate Azor’s tweet is related to consumer product news.
