Perhaps this model will be a turning point for Xiaomi flagships
Interesting news came from China. Perhaps the next flagship of Xiaomi will be not Mi Mix 4, as one might think (and as the logic and the current line suggests), but … Mix 10. Typically, manufacturers decide to skip several generations in the designation in order to emphasize the progressiveness of the new product. In this case, Mi Mix 10 will be very (if not radically) very different from all the current flagships. But what allows us to talk about the existence of this model?
A radically new flagship? Xiaomi may release Mi MIX 10 with MIUI 15
On June 16, Xiaomi hosted an event dedicated to security and privacy. In order to increase the awareness of users about data security, students arranged a wall with stickers that had to be divided into four levels of confidentiality: top secret, confidential, Internet level and public level. Mi Mix 10 appeared on one of these stickers. MIUI 15 appeared on the other. It’s logical to think that the most advanced flagship should also receive the most advanced firmware. And where is the “more advanced” if MIUI 12 is just starting to appear on Redmi and Xiaomi smartphones?
Rumors that Xiaomi is working on a completely new firmware have been around for a long time. Most often, they arise in the context of some new details about Xiaomi smartphones with flexible screens. And it cannot be ruled out that the Mi Mix 10 may turn out to be just that. At least the presence of a folding display would easily explain the transition from 4 to 10 in the designation. The same applies to MIUI: the 15th version may well be prepared specifically for folding models.
According to rumours, a major and important announcement of Xiaomi will take place in August. It is expected to premiere the camera phone Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro +, but it is possible that some details will appear regarding future models of the Mix line.
