AMD prepares mysterious liquid-cooled Radeon RX 6900 XTX graphics card
In the Chinese social network Weibo, the prototype AMD Radeon RX 6900 XTX graphics accelerator was lit up. The source of the AMD demo board snapshots is reportedly from someone on the Chiphell forum.
The video card is equipped with a liquid cooling system with a 120mm external radiator. AMD has released similar solutions in the past. One can think of the flagship model Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Edition and the Radeon R9 Fury the X.
It is important to remind you that AMD recently released a new variant of the Navi 21 GPU labeled XTXH. These select chips offer an increased level of overclocking and are used in premium versions of video cards. Such GPUs are used, for example, in the ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula, Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT Toxic Extreme, or PowerColor Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Devil Ultimate.
The source of the photos did not provide any additional details about the Radeon RX 6900 XTX video card, but the VideoCardz resource suggests that AMD may have originally planned to use selected Navi 21 XTXH GPUs as part of this reference model; however, due to a shortage of chip supplies, it decided to give the right to use them to your partners. It is also speculated that AMD may unveil the Radeon RX 6900 XTX in the coming months.
