Analyst: Battlefield 6 due to competition with Call of Duty will sell worse than many expect

Edition GamingBolt interviewed famous game analyst Michael Pakter (Michael Pachter). In the conversation, we were talking about Battlefield 6, which is already being developed by the DICE studio. According to Pakter, the game will sell worse than many expect, and the reason for this is the release of the new Call of Duty part. If the sequel turns out to be of high quality, then Battlefield 6 will not be able to attract the attention it deserves.

Battlefield

Michael Packer stated: “The two games in the series that have performed very well are [Battlefield] 4 and [Battlefield] I, and they faced the two lowest [estimated] ratings of Call of Duty. So both games performed very well. Then the next Battlefield came out and faced Black Ops 4, which became one of the most popular games in the Call of Duty franchise and didn’t enjoy the same success. I mean 8 million copies were sold and the previous ones sold 15 million. I think EA has a problem with Battlefield because it resembles CoD, which means it plays and looks the same. Obviously, each episode has its own fans, but they are both military first-person shooters

“I think the [new] Battlefield has the potential to get lost in yet another well-received Call of Duty, ” continued Michael Packer. – So I would say that Battlefield will sell worse than many people expect, as it competes with a serious competitor. But if the developers make a good game, get promoted, and choose the best launch window, perhaps the results will improve

The release date and platform for Battlefield 6 have yet to be announced. Development is progressing very well, according to spring data from Electronic Arts.
