The point is not that the signal is weak, but that it is absent at all, and the connection is not restored automatically

Apple has problems: iPhone 12 loses signal

In response, Apple officials recommend re-inserting the SIM card, updating operator settings, and updating the smartphone’s firmware. Additionally, Apple says there is no evidence at this stage that this is a hardware issue. Most likely, it could be a software conflict that some users have.

One user of an iPhone 12 with 256GB of flash memory reports that in 10 days of use, he observed at least 8 times the absence of a cellular operator’s signal. He had to restart his smartphone and restore network settings. Another user confirms the periodic loss of the signal, the flight mode does not help in this case, but rebooting again brings the smartphone into working condition.

In many cases, the point is not that the signal is weak, but that it is absent altogether, and the connection is not automatically restored. In addition, if the operator’s signal is lost, the smartphone cannot connect to Wi-Fi.

Manipulations such as turning on and off airplane mode, switching between the main and additional cards, changing the SIM card, changing the position, updating the system to iOS 14.2 do not solve the problem.
