ASRock launches J4005DC-ITX, its latest Intel Gemini Lake motherboard
ASRock has announced the J4005DC-ITX motherboard for small desktop and home entertainment centers. The novelty corresponds to the Mini-ITX standard size, its dimensions are 170 × 170 mm.
Internet sources point out that the presented model is ASRock’s latest product based on the Intel Gemini Lake hardware platform. The board is originally equipped with a Celeron J4005 processor, which contains two processing cores with a nominal frequency of 2.0 GHz and the ability to upgrade to 2.7 GHz. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 controller is responsible for graphics processing. The chip is content with passive cooling based on a large radiator.
There are two slots for DDR4-2133 / 2400 SO-DIMM memory modules and two standard SATA 3.0 ports for connecting drives. The Realtek RTL8111H gigabit controller is responsible for connecting to a computer network. The audio subsystem uses the Realtek ALC887 7.1 codec.
Expansion options are provided by a single PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot. The interface panel contains a DC-In connector for power supply, a PS / 2 connector for a keyboard/mouse, a serial port, D-Sub and HDMI connectors, two USB 2.0, and USB 3.1 ports, a socket for a network cable and a set of audio jacks.
