According to Ozon online store, in April, sales of bread machines in Russia jumped 310%, and sales of mixers grew 258%. Under quarantine, Russians began to cook more and more often, in particular, to bake bread.

The data was obtained after a study of 1.5 million orders and 2 million searches. Sales of egg cookers and juicers also increased – by 98 and 61%, respectively.
Also, Russians show an increased interest in mini-breweries, sales of malt extract tripled compared to the average level of demand in 2019, and sales of beer mugs and glasses increased by 98%.
At the end of April, home sales of grill devices soared by 167%, while barbecue sales increased by 214%. It is noteworthy that disposable tableware sales fell by 47%; people simply do not need it in conditions of self-isolation.
Recall that during the coronavirus pandemic, Russia closed restaurants, cafes, cinemas, shopping centers, and other places of leisure and crowds. This situation will continue, at least until May 12.
