Baldur’s Gate 3 developers announced the release of the fourth patch – the largest in the history of the game

Larian Studios has announced Nature’s Power, the fourth major update for its ambitious role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3, in a new publication on the digital distribution service Steam.

Recall that Larian Studios calls the released patch the largest in the history of Baldur’s Gate 3. For the same reason, the save from previous assemblies again turned out to be incompatible with the new version.

The main features of Nature’s Power, including the druid class (with the ability to transform into animals), the authors talked about as part of the recent Panel From Hell broadcast, and now they shared a full list of the changes made by the patch.

According to the developers, the list of innovations of the released patch stretched over eight printed pages. A fair share of them is occupied by numerous bug fixes and elimination of the causes of crashes.

Besides, Larian Studios announced that all updates following Nature’s Power for Baldur’s Gate 3 would be smaller, regardless of the number of changes included.

This optimization was achieved by dividing large PAK files into smaller parts: “In the words of Wild Look, our patches will transform from a plump badger into a slender cat

Baldur’s Gate 3 was released in October 2020 for PC (Steam, GOG) and Google Stadia. The game is currently in Early Access and will stay there for at least 12 months – that is, at least until October 2021.
