Baldur’s Gate 3 received a new patch – it is intended for those who “clearly angered the gods of the random number generator”

Let us remind you that one of the fourth patch innovations was the “weighted die” option, which increases the chances of success in acting up to 85% after the first unsuccessful throw.

It has been almost two months since that update was released, and Larian Studios was able to gather enough feedback on how the mechanic worked to gauge its effectiveness in the community’s eyes.

With the release of a new patch, the scale will tilt only in favor of the player when rolling the dice (an unsuccessful skill check is not required in this case). The change will also affect NPCs and enemies, so the difficulty of battles should not be affected.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access on PC (Steam, GOG) and Google Stadia since October 2020. Since then, the game has improved markedly; however, according to the head of Larian Studios Swen Vincke, “there is still a lot of work ahead
