Budget 5G-smartphone Samsung will receive the MediaTek platform
The Geekbench benchmark database has revealed information about the next smartphone of the Galaxy family, which is announced this year by the South Korean giant Samsung: we are talking about a device with the SM-A226B code.
It is believed that this designation hides the Galaxy A22 model, which appeared on high-quality renders the day before. At the time of the announcement, the device is set to become the most affordable fifth-generation (5G) cellular-enabled Samsung smartphone.
Geekbench data points to MT6833V / NZA CPU usage. This is nothing more than a MediaTek Dimensity 700 product containing eight processing cores with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz, an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics accelerator, and a 5G modem.
The amount of RAM is also disclosed – 6 GB. The tested device was installed with the Android 11 operating system.
Previous rumors attribute the smartphone to the presence of a 6.5-inch display, a triple camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor, a side fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The regular appearance of leaks about the new product indicates an imminent announcement: it is likely to debut before the end of the current quarter.
