The company received $ 23.5 billion in revenue last quarter
Dell Technologies, one of the three largest PC manufacturers, has published its next quarterly report. It recently completed its third quarter of fiscal 2021.
Dell Technologies’ operating profit grew by more than a third over the year
During the reporting period, $ 23.5 billion in revenue was generated. This is 3% more in annual terms. At the same time, operating profit increased by 35% and reached $ 1.1 billion. The quarter ended with a net income of $ 881 million. This is 60% more than a year ago.
The non-GAAP calculation changes the picture, and for the better. Operating income turns out to be equal to $ 2.7 billion, which is 12% more in annual terms, and net income reaches $ 1.7 billion, which is 18% higher in annual terms.
One of the drivers of financial growth was the Client Solutions Group’s success, which accounts for more than half of the revenue. In particular, there was an increase in sales of notebooks of the Latitude and Precision families and strong demand for Chromebooks (growth in their sales is expressed in three-digit numbers). The report also acknowledges the success of the XPS and Alienware brands in the gaming sector.
