Developer for GTA V, RDR 2 and TLoU II: With PS5 and Xbox Series X coming, worlds and characters in games will be more believable

From the new generation of consoles, it is customary to expect a leap in terms of graphics quality. According to Francisco Aisa, Senior Gameplay Engineer at The Initiative, PS5 and Xbox Series X will be able to provide it. The developer stated this in an interview with GamingBolt. He believes that with the advent of next-generation consoles, the characters and worlds in games will become more believable, and the quality of their display will improve.

When asked if the trend towards photorealistic graphics will continue with the arrival of the next generation and whether the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be able to provide it, Francisco Aisa replied: ” Yes, definitely .” Then he said: “ If you look at The Last of Us Part II, or rather, the facial expressions of the characters in the game, you will see how good they are. Some of them blow my mind. And remember, I looked at the heroes [of the game] every day, and [their faces] still amaze me. [In the future] the quality will grow even more. Many of the data we dealt with [when creating TLoU II] will be more actively used in the future. So I think players will see not only bigger worlds, but more believable ones with realistic characters. “

Francisco Aisa is an accomplished developer with an impressive resume. He worked for Rockstar Games for a long time and had a hand in Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, and then moved to Naughty Dog, where he worked on TLoU II. In May 2020, Aisa joined The Initiative.
