Disco Elysium: the Final Cut finally received the promised patch 1.2, but so far only on PS5

The developers of the role-playing detective Disco Elysium from the independent Estonian studio ZA / UM announced in their microblog the release of the promised update 1.2 for the extended edition of the game of the target platforms.

Recall that patch 1.2 for Disco Elysium: The Final Cut (as the extended version is called) was announced shortly after the project’s release. It was supposed that the premiere of the patch would take place within a few days, but the fans have been waiting for a long time.

The head of the ZA / UM publishing department Mikk Metsniit on the Disco Elysium Discord server mentioned that the update was planned to be released on April 6; however, apparently, something went wrong.

Be that as it may, the release of Disco Elysium: The Final Cut version 1.2 finally took place, but so far only on the PlayStation 5. In a tweet with the announcement, ZA / UM apologized for the delay and added that work is also underway on a patch for PS4.

Earlier it was reported that patch 1.2 contains fixes for locations, interactive objects, non-loading objects, and improved controller control and fixes for various problems with dubbing.

Judging by the first reviews, the released update saved PS5 owners from at least one of the problems – the inability to get plot items from a car stuck under the ice (an example of a disorder is fixed above).

As a reminder, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut debuted on March 30th on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, and Google Stadia streaming service. On target platforms other than PS5, patch 1.2 will appear ” soon.”
