The Last of Us Part 2 has no exact release date yet.

Sony has postponed for an indefinite period the release of the adventure action movie The Last of Us Part 2. According to journalist Jason Schreyer, the main reason for the transfer was that Sony was faced with serious problems associated with the production and distribution of the disk version of the game.

“Everything went to the fact that The Last of Us Part 2 will appear in May, according to many developers. The main reason for the delay in the release was the difficulties associated with the production, supply and sale of physical versions, ”Schreyer noted and added that the transition to remote work did not save some Naughty Dog employees from processing.

One of the users suggested that Sony could release The Last of Us Part 2 only in the “figure”. Schreyer noted that Sony already limits the download speed of games from the PlayStation Network.

“Imagine the scale of a disaster if millions of people try to download the game at the same time?” Schreyer said.

Schreyer also noted that Sony seems to have “studied the numbers and decided that it would lose too many sales of physical versions.”
