EK Launches Reference Design Waterblock for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Accelerators
The Slovenian company EK Water Blocks, a well-known developer of liquid cooling systems, has announced a water block for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series graphics accelerators, made in accordance with a reference design. It should be noted here that NVIDIA video cards of the Founders Edition series this time have motherboards with a non-standard design.
The novelty was named EK-Quantum Vector RTX 3080/3090 D-RGB. It should be noted right away that this solution is not suitable for Founders Edition video cards.
The water block is a full-coverage solution: heat is removed from the GPU, memory chips, and power elements of the power subsystem. The design provides for the presence of a rather thick copper base – its thickness is 11.2 mm.
The Open Split-Flow architecture provides high cooling performance even at relatively low fluid flow rates. This allows the use of not too powerful pumps as part of the system.
The novelty is equipped with a multicolor D-RGB LED backlight based on 12 LEDs. They can be controlled directly from a motherboard with MSI Mystic Light Sync, ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, or ASRock Polychrome Sync.
