Xiaomi is not Twitter, they even part amicably here

According to the ITHome resource, Xiaomi has planned a serious staff reduction. The compensation plan is determined by the formula N + 2, that is, we are talking about at least three months of severance pay.

The cuts will affect all or almost all departments of Xiaomi (including the department of mobile devices, the department of Internet services, local departments), but to varying degrees. So, in some certain departments it is planned to reduce up to 75% of the staff, and, for example, in the Internet services department, about 40% of employees will be reduced. In total, about 15-20% of employees (about 6,000 people) will be laid off.

Interestingly, many of the employees to be laid off are happy with the announced compensation plan. It is noted that unused vacation for the current year is compensated by a double salary.
