Tests, unfortunately, are mostly synthetic or semi-synthetic, but this is better than nothing.
So what can we say now? New processors are really significantly faster than old ones. The Core i7-10700, which can often compete with the Core i9-9900K, as well as the clearly inexpensive Core i5-10400, approaching the Core i7-9700K, is especially impressive. It’s all about supporting Hyper-Threading, which provides good growth.
Also worth noting is the ability of the Core i7-10700 to perform on an equal footing with the Ryzen 7 3700X. It can be assumed that the Core i7-10700 will cost the same $ 330 as the Core i7-9700 while offering the performance of the $ 500 Core i9-9900K. The problem is that the Ryzen 7 3700X already costs about $ 300 now and is likely to fall in price even more. In addition, Ryzen 4000 desktop CPUs will be released in the second half of the year. However, at the end of the year, Intel should also release really new Rocket Lake, so the main battle is yet to come.
