According to analysts, PUBG Mobile has become the highest-grossing battle royale on mobile in 2020. Project revenues skyrocketed amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Its closest competitor was Garena Free Fire, with a $ 395 million result. Fortnite came in at a fourth place, earning $ 293 million (before being removed from Google Play and the App Store).

The largest market for Tencent was China, which brought developers $ 1.9 billion or 53% of total revenue. The second place was taken by the players from the USA, which brought 13.6%, and the top three were closed by Japan with an indicator of 5.5%.

On the platform side, iOS generated about 80% of all revenue for developers. The remaining 20% are Android users. At the same time, there are significantly more users with Android: 65.3% versus 34.7%.

Recall that in early September, Tencent Games, together with E Terra Media, announced a  team student tournament among Russian players. Players from 16 years old are allowed to the championship, and the prize fund of the competition will be 250 thousand rubles.
