Iqoo already offers solutions for fast charging smartphones with 33, 44, and 55 watts. 120-watt charging takes the game to a whole new level. It will be possible to charge a smartphone from 0 to 50% in just 5 minutes.
It’s worth noting that Vivo introduced its 120W FlashCharge technology at Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2019 last year. However, technology has not yet been implemented in commercial devices. So Iqoo has every chance of the first to release a smartphone with the fastest charging in the world.
At the presentation, Iqoo showed how a 4000 mAh battery (two modules of 2000 mAh) was charged with a power of 120 W and charging efficiency of 97%. 120W ultra-fast charging phones will feature Super VC liquid cooling technology to control the internal temperature of the device. Sources claim that Iqoo already has a smartphone that supports such charging. Its mass production has already started, and it will go on sale next month.
Earlier, Oppo confirmed that it will hold a press conference on July 15, which will present 125 W Super Flash Charge fast charging technology.
