GIGABYTE introduced the world’s first external GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080. They are liquid-cooled
GIGABYTE has announced new graphics accelerators made in the form of external desktop units: the Aorus RTX 3090/3080 Gaming Box solutions are presented, built on the basis of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 video adapters with Ampere architecture.
The developer calls the novelties the world’s first external video cards equipped with an all-in-one liquid cooling system. Aorus WaterForce solution with a 240 mm aluminum radiator and two 120 mm fans is used.
The devices are designed for use primarily with laptop computers: for connection is the Thunderbolt 3 interface. The set of available connectors includes two HDMI and three DisplayPort interfaces, a network Ethernet port, and three USB 3.0 ports.
The new products include graphics accelerators GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3090 with 24 GB of memory and GeForce RTX 3080 with 10 GB of memory. Boxes are endowed with proprietary multicolor RGB Fusion 2.0 lighting with a palette of 16.7 million colors and the ability to sync with other components of the gaming station.
There is no information about the estimated price of the Aorus RTX 3090/3080 Gaming Box at the moment.
