So far, Google has only revealed a new logo.
Google is working on a new logo as well as new features for its Gmail email service. The search giant has shared an image of the new logo with 9To5Google, which has posted it for everyone to see.
Gmail is about to change
Google representatives later confirmed that this is indeed the official image. The new logo should start using it soon. In the black and white image, the envelope icon has been replaced by an “M” with rounded corners. With the integration of Google Meet video conferencing into Gmail, the developers decided against positioning the service as an email platform alone.
This is still a working version of the logo, as the final version is expected to use four colors: blue, green, yellow, and red. Google uses this color scheme today for all of its products and services, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Photos.
Google usually accompanies the presentation of new logos with major updates, so it’s not hard to assume that Gmail could get new features and improvements as well.
