Huawei P50 won’t be the first smartphone from the company with HarmonyOS 2.0
According to rumors, the Huawei P50 was supposed to be the first smartphone of the company with the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system instead of Android, but according to new data, this will not happen. All due to the fact that the premiere and release of the P50 has been postponed, but Huawei is not going to hesitate with the replacement of Android with HarmonyOS. Therefore, the first batch of models that will receive HarmonyOS 2.0 now looks like this: Huawei Mate X2, models of the P40 and Mate 40 series. All of them will switch to the proprietary “Android replacement” in April. At the same time, a new Huawei TV with HarmonyOS 2.0 is expected.
HarmonyOS 2.0 replaces EMUI 11. Huawei P40, Mate 40 and Mate X2 smartphones will receive “Android replacement” in April
As for other Huawei and Honor smartphones, those that received EMUI 11 and Magic UI 4.0 will switch to HarmonyOS before the end of the year, but in stages, depending on the hardware platform. The only exception so far is the Honor V40. Some models with EMUI 10.1 and Magic UI 3.1 will be transferred to HarmonyOS directly, bypassing the intermediate stage in the form of EMUI 11 / Magic UI 4.0. These smartphones include Huawei nova 7 SE, Honor 30S, Honor X10, Honor 9X and a number of others. Alas, smartphones on MediaTek platforms are not included in the current plans to transfer to HarmonyOS.
