In honor of the 10th anniversary of PS Plus, Sony began sending money to subscribers’ wallets
At the end of June 2020, PlayStation Plus celebrated its tenth anniversary. Sony has decided to celebrate the anniversary by adding three free games to its July Subscriber List. And now it became known that the Japanese company has prepared another surprise – it has begun to replenish players’ wallets for a certain amount of funds in local currency.
The generous gift from Sony became known thanks to a user on the Reddit forum under the pseudonym Connie. He posted a screenshot of a message from the platform holder that said a € 10 top-up in honor of the PlayStation Plus 10th anniversary. In the same thread, the author has collected information from other people who have received cash gifts from Sony. Users from Russia are also among the lucky ones who got wallet replenishment. True, in the Russian-speaking segment the amount is slightly lower than in Europe and the USA – 600 rubles. (approximately $ 8.4 at the current exchange rate).
Gifts are sent in random order, that is, not to all subscribers. This was reported by a Reddit user under the pseudonym pixel spaceship. He spoke to PlayStation support and posted a screenshot of the correspondence. From the conversation, it became clear that Sony will be funding player accounts until August 11.
