Moscow Deptrans plans to launch payment for the face in 2021
In December 2020, it became known that a fair payment with face recognition was launched in the Moscow metro, which even works with a mask. Now the head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, Maxim Liksutov, spoke about the project’s development.

According to the official, the Deptrans team plans to launch face-to-face payments for ordinary passengers in 2021. Last year, the system began testing on employees of the department in cooperation with two large Russian banks. At the moment, 2 thousand successful passes have already been completed in test mode.
Liksutov also noted that the department is simultaneously working on implementing payments in person at the cash desks of Mosmetro. He explained:
