In August, Intel introduced Marvel’s Avengers Collector’s Edition Packaging processors. They differ from ordinary ones only in packaging, but in general, the announcement was part of the advertising campaign for the game Marvel’s Avengers.
Intel processors for Avengers fans retire just six months after the announcement
The game came out, failed in sales, and the processors can be sent to rest. As stated in Intel documents, such CPUs will no longer be manufactured and supplied to partners. More precisely, the company stopped all these processes on December 16.
The decision is quite logical, given that such CPUs were released as part of an advertising campaign, and it ended long ago. In addition, these processors did not come with a download coupon or any bonuses interesting to fans.
