This is confirmed by direct comparison.

We have repeatedly seen that the SoC Exynos 990 is definitely worse than the Snapdragon 865, which means that Samsung smartphones of the Galaxy A20 line based on the first are worse than similar ones based on the second.

Is Exynos 990 so scary? The difference with the SoC Snapdragon 865 in normal use is minimal

But there is an important nuance. The main problem of the Exynos 990 is heating, throttling, and, as a result, a decrease in performance. And this is manifested mainly only in “heavy” games, and not immediately. Is there any difference in the normal use of the smartphone?

As you can see, there is a difference, but it is minimal. For a full test run, the Snapdragon 865 version overtook the Exynos 990 version by about 8 seconds, i.e. by 5%, and almost the entire gap is due to only three applications.

Simply put, with everyday use of a smartphone without protracted battles in “heavy” games, there is no difference in the speed of work and productivity. True, there remains a difference in energy consumption and, as a result, autonomy, but this is another conversation.
