However, apparently, with the release of SoC Dimensity, the company begins a new stage of growth. Reportedly, the projected supply of single-chip MediaTek systems with 5G support for the year is more than 80 million units.
And if this number alone does not mean anything, then you should know that with such indicators MediaTek will occupy at least 40% of the market for mobile platforms with 5G!
The source does not say this, but it can be assumed that MediaTek with such indicators can even bypass Qualcomm (in the SoC segment with 5G), because Apple, Kirin, and Exynos platforms will also occupy a considerable share. Their total share will clearly be above 20%, and this will mean that Qualcomm will have less than 40%.
