GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is a 2D action-adventure game set in a dark fantasy setting inspired by traditional Japanese painting. According to the plot of the game, the seal on the gates of hell was broken. A stream of evil spirits poured into the human world, and human civilization was on the verge of death. As Getsu Fuma, you must become the head of your clan and go to hell to destroy evil. You have to explore a huge underground world, master an arsenal of weapons and equipment, and combine items depending on your play style.

Combat system GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon implies strategic decisions considering distance and speed, which is characteristic of the Japanese martial arts. The world will constantly change, and the bosses will not let you relax, but you will be more experienced in overcoming the challenges with each attempt.

“Going into Early Access will give us a great opportunity to build a community of GetsuFumaDen fans and make sure the game is polished to a shine for the premiere,” said Shin Murato, Producer of GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon from Konami. – During the test period, we want to work with user feedback and fully involve players in the discussion to improve the quality of the game, find and fix possible errors and polish the balance. We will work closely with the community, with people ready to help us bring this project to life. Our current focus is on the Early Access launch. We’ll share information about the Nintendo Switch premiere in the future

“Working closely with Konami and working on GetsuFumaDen is an exciting adventure,” said Yuki Yamashita, director of studio GuruGuru. “ We’re looking forward to Early Access and are actively working with players on a project that reflects our love of design, visuals, and storytelling. We’d love to hear community feedback to work together to improve and develop the game as we progress on it

In 1987, a 2D action platformer with role-playing elements called Getsu Fuma Den was released on the Famicom (the Japanese version of the NES). Customers who purchase GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon on Steam will receive a bonus version of the original project, as well as a digital artbook and soundtrack.
