Recall that the original model, which shoots in color, uses a combination of a 47.3 megapixel full-frame image sensor and a Summilux 1: 1.7 / 28 mm ASPH autofocus lens. With the digital zoom, you can get images that match shooting with lenses with a focal length of 35, 50 and 75 mm. Of course, the resolution is reduced to 30, 14.7 and 6.6 megapixels, respectively, but at the same time the image is saved in full resolution in DNG format.
The Leica Q2 has a MSRP of $ 4,995. How much the monochrome version will cost and when it will be presented is still unknown.
