LG has come up with another version of the Rollable smartphone – now with two displays
According to online sources, LG has announced a new version of its Rollable smartphone, which it announced last month at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), a virtual electronics show.
Information about the new product is published on China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) website. Patent illustrations provide insight into the design of the device.
The smartphone is equipped with a flexible display that rolls up inside the case. This allows you to transform the device from a regular candy bar smartphone into a small tablet.
Patent images indicate that the gadget provides an additional screen for using a different screen located in the back. Moreover, this panel occupies almost the entire area of the end of the device.
The illustrations show a triple camera with vertical optical modules. The front camera is not visible – it may be planned to use a selfie module hidden behind the display or use the primary camera to create self-portraits.
Alas, while the novelty exists only in patent documentation. The possibility of creating a commercial version of the device is not reported.
