Motorola is preparing an inexpensive Athena smartphone with a Snapdragon 662 processor
From several sources, it became known that Motorola will soon introduce an affordable smartphone called Athena, also known as Defy.
Information about the device appeared in the Google Play Console database and the popular Geekbench benchmark. It is known that the computing load is entrusted to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, which combines eight Kryo 260 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz, an Adreno 610 graphics accelerator, and a Snapdragon X11 LTE cellular modem. Support for 5G networks is not provided.
The smartphone is equipped with an HD + display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and a pixel density of 280 DPI (dots per inch). At the top of the screen, there is a small cutout for a single front camera.
The device is endowed with 4 GB of RAM. The operating system is listed as Android 10, but the commercial version can get the more modern Android 11 software platform.
There is no information about the configuration of the rear camera yet. Most likely, it will combine two or three optical modules with image sensors.
There is a possibility that the novelty will debut in the current quarter. The price is likely to be around $ 150.
