Motorola is preparing another flagship on the Snapdragon 865. It will receive a 64-megapixel camera with large pixels
Earlier this year, Motorola unveiled the Edge + smartphone, which was the company’s first true flagship device in a long time. Unfortunately, the phone was not very successful due to the very high cost and many minor flaws. However, according to recent reports, the company is preparing a new flagship device.
According to TechnikNews, Motorola is working on a device with model number XT2125. The smartphone is codenamed Nio. It is rumored to be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, just like the Motorola Edge +. It is also reported that the device will receive 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. In addition, there is a possibility of launching a modification with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM. The phone will boast a Full HD + matrix with a refresh rate of at least 90 Hz.
The camera of the upcoming smartphone is described in some detail. It will consist of a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor with large 1-micron pixels and a wide-angle lens, a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16A10 ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel OmniVision OV02B1B depth sensor. The front camera will be represented by two sensors: a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16A1Q with a wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel Samsung S5K4H7 with ultra-wide-angle optics.
The Motorola Nio is expected to get dual SIM support and run Android 11. The phone is expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2021.
