The Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro models debuted in July 2019 and became the first smartphones based on the HiSilicon Kirin 810 single-chip system.
As Honor vice president of marketing Guan Haitao boasted on Weibo’s Chinese social network, Honor 9X series smartphones have exceeded 10 million units, and that’s only in China.
Thus, overcoming the milestone of 10 million, the Honor 9X took about 8 months. For comparison, the predecessors of the Honor 8X series took 173 days.
Last summer, Honor President Zhao Ming announced that the company plans to sell 20 million units of Honor 9X. After the start of sales, Honor took 29 days to reach 3 million in sales.
