New Lens Manufacturer: NiSi Launches Sunstar 15mm Wide Angle for RF, Z, X and E Mounts
NiSi Optics has announced the release of its first lens. We are talking about a full-frame wide-angle Sunstar model with a fixed focal length of 15mm and a minimum aperture of f / 4 – it can be purchased in versions for cameras with Canon RF, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z and Sony E mount.
The fully manual lens (including focusing) has an all-metal construction and consists of 12 elements in 10 groups, including one double-sided aspherical element and two extra-low dispersion elements. The aperture range extends from f / 4 to f / 22, using a 10-blade aperture to help create characteristic highlights.
The angle of view is 112 degrees when mounted on full-frame cameras and 78 degrees when used on Fujifilm X mount cameras. Other features include a minimum focusing distance of 20cm, 72mm filter threads.
The objective is 75.6 mm in diameter and 80.5 mm in length and weighs 470 g. The NiSi 15mm F4 Sunstar can be purchased from the NiSi online store for $ 579. It will also be available at official NiSi retail stores including Adorama, Amazon and B&H.
