The smartphone could outperform Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mi 10 Ultra
OnePlus is partnering with Leica to develop cameras for the OnePlus 9 series smartphones, according to insiders.

It is reported that Huawei is also working with Leica, and Nokia and Vivo have chosen Zeiss as a partner. If OnePlus is indeed working with Leica on cameras for the OnePlus 9 series, then we can expect a significant improvement in their quality. The OnePlus 9 Pro could be the first smartphone from the company to take first place in the ranking of the best DxOMark camera phones and overtake the Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mi 10 Ultra.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said in an interview with Input Mag that they are working to improve the camera performance of their phones, “with a greater focus on software and hardware.” He added that they improve not only the new flagship smartphones but also the Nord. However, he did not previously say that they work with the German company Leica.
Presumably, the OnePlus 9 series will include the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9E, and OnePlus 9 Pro. They will be presented in the first half of next year.
