Innovations are quite significant
OnePlus originally launched the flagship smart TVs OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro, and more recently, the brand introduced low-cost models OnePlus TV 55U1, 43Y1, and 32Y1. Now, OnePlus has released the OnePlus TV OTA 5 software update for the Q and U series with the features promised during the launch of new models last week.
OnePlus TVs get new Data Saver Plus, OxygenPlay and kid mode features
Here is the complete list of changes:
- Support for the OnePlus Connect application for devices that are running the iOS operating system. OnePlus Connect allows you to control your TV and conveniently search for the desired content on it
- Data Saver Plus: An advanced version of the Data Saver feature to help control data usage. This will turn on data usage alerts and monitor monthly traffic.
- Kids Mode: Parental controls over apps, limited viewing time, and eye protection to help kids use OnePlus TVs
- OxygenPlay: a long press on the poster launches a popup window with additional information
The update is distributed in stages in various regions of the world.
