OPPO has taken care of the high reliability of the mechanism of the unique sliding smartphone X 2021
New details have been revealed about the unusual OPPO X 2021 smartphone, which was demonstrated in the outgoing week. It is reported that the novelty will be able to boast of the high reliability of the applied design solutions.
As we already said, the new product uses a flexible OLED display. The device can stretch to transform into a small tablet, increasing the screen diagonal from 6.7 inches to 7.4 inches.
The gadget is based on a unique Roll Motor mechanism with two electric motors, which ensures uniform stretching. The display is supported by a special internal 2-in-1 Plate structure.
As OPPO representatives have now said, the mechanism of the smartphone has been tested for 100,000 fold / unfold cycles. Moreover, the company emphasizes that this is not the limit – the device will continue to function properly in the future. This means that the service life will be more than five years, subject to folding / unfolding 50 times a day.
It also became known that the actual flexible screen is manufactured by BOE. Work on this panel has not been fully completed, so the smartphone will appear on the commercial market no earlier than the end of 2021.
