HP did well too.

The PC market continued to decline in the second quarter of 2023, according to a fresh report from IDC.

During the reporting period, 61.6 million PCs were sold in the world, which is 13.4% lower than a year earlier. It is worth noting here that the authors refer exclusively to PCs as PCs and do not include tablets in the calculations, as some other analysts do.

PC sales continue to fall, but not at Apple.

Lenovo remains the market leader, occupying 23.1%, but over the year HP has crept up to it as close as possible, which now has 21.8% of the market. This is because Lenovo’s sales fell by 18.4%, while HP’s is only 0.8%.

The top three is closed by Dell with a share of 16.8% and a fall of 22%. In fifth place was Acer with 6.4% of the market and a fall of 16.5%.

But Apple, which climbed to fourth place, became the only company on the leaderboard to increase sales. Moreover, Apple increased them by 10.3%, which is quite good considering the performance of the entire market as a whole.
