It has eight drive bays
Qnap Systems announced the release of the TS-832PX Network Attached Storage (NAS). This storage is built on the AnnapurnaLabs Alpine AL324 (Arm Cortex-A57) quad-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. The processor has 4 GB of DDR4 RAM in the form of a SO-DIMM module. It is possible to increase the amount of RAM up to 16 GB by replacing the module.
Qnap TS-832PX NAS is equipped with a 10 GbE port and two 2.5 GbE ports
The storage has eight drive bays for 3.5 ”or 2.5” SATA 6Gb / s drives. Hot-swap supported. The advantages of NAS include the presence of a 10 GbE port and two 2.5 GbE ports. In addition, the equipment includes three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. It is possible to install an expansion card, for which there is a PIe Gen2 x2 slot. However, the manufacturer warns that adding an expansion card will negatively affect the speed of the 10 GbE port since it will be allocated a portion of the PCIe bus bandwidth. The available expansion cards include a 5 GbE / 2.5 GbE network adapter, a QXP-W6-AX200 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless adapter, and a QXP-10G2U3A USB 3.2 Gen 2 controller.
With dimensions of 188.2 × 329.3 × 280.8 mm, the NAS weighs 6.38 kg without drives.
