For some reason, Samsung has just decided to separately present the display used in the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G smartphone. The peculiarity of this panel is that it has the smallest radius of curvature among the serial solutions.

Interestingly, despite the fact that Samsung has dedicated a separate press release to this, it does not indicate the exact value of this very radius anywhere – 1.4R is written everywhere, and if you read in more detail, you can see an indication that the panel has a radius of curvature rated 1.4R. Apparently, this is about 1.4 mm, but perhaps the real figure is not related to the rating index at all. In any case, this is the smallest figure among commercially available smartphone screens.
Samsung also confirmed that the display is covered with an ultra-thin protective glass, but that glass is still covered with a plastic film.
