Surround sound and zoom control
Samsung Electronics has announced the release of system software updates for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro earphones, as well as smartwatches of the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch4 series.
The updates are designed to improve the use of cameras on phones paired with gadgets. Galaxy Buds2 Pro received the function of recording surround sound using microphones in each earbud that is added to the video.
According to Samsung, when watching such videos, users will be able to hear “realistic and immersive sound.” There is a restriction — Requires Bluetooth LE Audio to work, which is currently only available on the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4.
Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch5 smartwatches get the ability to control the smartphone’s camera zoom in the Camera Controller app. As the manufacturer notes, this feature is suitable for group selfies or group shots at a distance.
