The benchmark says it uses a proprietary Exynos 850 processor. The chip contains eight ARM Cortex-A55 processing cores with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz, a Mali-G52 graphics accelerator, and a 4G / LTE modem.

Rumor has it that the new product will also be released in a modification with support for fifth-generation (5G) cellular networks. This version appears under the code SM-G501B, but there is no data processor type.

As for the tested smartphone SM-G525F, it was equipped with 4 GB of RAM. The operating system is Android 11. The result in the single-core test was 182 points, in the multi-core – 1148 points.

The device is expected to receive IP68 and MIL-STD 810G protection against moisture, dust, and external influences. The touch screen will provide gloved control.

The official presentation of the Galaxy XCover 5 will take place this year, but, unfortunately, more precise dates have not been disclosed.
