Samsung Electronics has unveiled a range of new TVs, including the Neo QLED series, at its first-ever First Look virtual presentation ahead of CES 2021.

The new Neo QLED technology, which has become the basis for the flagship models of Samsung 8K (QN900A) and 4K (QN90A) TVs, uses a new light source – the Quantum Mini LED panel, which is controlled by Quantum Matrix Technology and the powerful Neo Quantum Processor GPU optimized for Neo QLED.

The Quantum Mini LED panel is 40 times thinner than a conventional LCD panel. It uses the finest layers of LEDs instead of lenses to scatter light and pixels. Quantum Array Technology prevents glare for superior image quality. Thanks to Neo QLED technology, the brightness scale is increased to 12-bit with 4096 gradations, making dark areas of an image darker and bright areas brighter. The powerful patented Neo Quantum processor with advanced scalability applied in Neo QLED TV uses up to 16 neural networks, each of which is trained in intelligent upscaling technologies and supports deep learning. This allows it to optimize the image quality for future 4K and 8K output.

The 2021 Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs feature a new Infinity One design with an almost bezel-less screen. The existing Slim One Connect Box with cables can be stowed away to the back of the TV for easy TV installation.

The 2021 Neo QLED 8K models also feature a number of new audio features. In particular, Object Tracking Sound (OTS) Pro technology generates dynamic sound corresponding to the movement of objects on the screen, while SpaceFit Sound analyzes the physical environment of the TV and provides a sound image adapted to a specific space.

In addition, the 2021 Samsung Neo QLED 8K and 4K models have new smart features. The Samsung Health app transforms the living room into a personal gym, while the new Smart Trainer allows you to track and analyze the posture of the exercising athlete in real-time. The Smart Trainer also provides feedback to help you count reps and calories burned. With video, interactive prompts and voice control, the Smart Trainer, acting as a personal trainer, significantly increases the effectiveness of training.

Two more new features are for gamers. Super Ultrawide GameView mode gives them the ability to play not only on a widescreen 21: 9 aspect ratio, but also on an ultra-widescreen aspect ratio 32: 9, showing much more detail.

The Game Bar allows you to quickly monitor and adjust important gameplay parameters, while FreeSync Premium Pro technology minimizes image lag for smooth footage.

With the help of the Google Duo service, smartphone owners will be able to make group video calls using the TV with high image quality, which can be simultaneously joined by up to 32 people, regardless of the operating systems used. A large TV screen along with an intelligent USB camera that tracks people’s movements in the frame and automatically scales the image will make chatting with friends comfortable.

Finally, the PC on TV function allows you to connect your PC to your TV using your keyboard and mouse for work or study. To do this, you need to install the Easy Connection application on your computer and log in to your Samsung account.
