Shenmue III Developers Confirmed November 19 Steam Release Date
Deep Silver and developer Ys Net have confirmed the release date for the Steam version of the action-adventure Shenmue III on the official Shenmue website.
As expected, Valve’s digital distribution service will see the newest chapter in Ryo Hazuki’s story 12 months after it premiered on the Epic Games Store last year.
Unlike some other former exclusives of the Epic Games Store ( Afterparty, The Outer Worlds ), Shenmue III will reach Steam on the day of the expiration of the agreement – November 19 this year.
Despite the proximity of the release, it is not possible to pre-order the Steam version of Shenmue III. The game will likely become available for purchase only at the time of the premiere.
“We hope that with the release of Steam, even more people will travel [the mountains] of Guilin and discover the world of Shenmue III for the first time or again,” the developers shared.
Ys Net also assured that contributors who requested the Steam version of Shenmue III will finally receive the coveted key. Recall that Valve prohibits developers from distributing Steam activation codes for games that have not yet been released in its digital store.
Shenmue III is available on PC (Epic Games Store) and PlayStation 4. Despite the cool reception from journalists – from 67 to 69 points on Metacritic – financially, the game showed a satisfactory result for Deep Silver.
